THE CUSTOMER IS ALREADY IN YOUR STORE

Product knowledge matters. Sales technique matters. But there is another capability sitting between the two: knowing how to understand the person in front of you and turn that understanding into a recommendation that feels genuinely relevant.

That is where The Styling Advantage sits.

Your team learns how to read the customer more effectively, make stronger styling recommendations and use language that helps build the sale without making the interaction feel like a sales script.

BETTER CONVERSATIONS

More relevant to the individual customer.

BIGGER OPPORTUNITIES

Styling creates more reasons to build the transaction value.

GREATER CONSISTENCY

One shared standard of service across the team.

WHAT CHANGES IN YOUR STORE

You and your team will become better equipped to:

Read the customer earlier
Recognise cues, intent and hesitation from the beginning of the interaction rather than waiting for the customer to tell them exactly what they need.

Make more relevant recommendations
Move beyond showing products and start connecting pieces to the person, their needs and the outfit as a whole.

Build the sale without pushing it
Recognise when another recommendation will genuinely improve the outcome, and know how to introduce it naturally.

Work to one professional standard
Give experienced and new team members a shared method and language for approaching the customer.

Turn better service into better commercial outcomes
Create the kind of in-store experience that can contribute to stronger conversion, average sale and repeat visits.

FOUR SESSIONS. ONE DAY. A PLAN YOU CAN USE IMMEDIATELY.

WHAT YOU TAKE BACK TO THE BUSINESS

This is not a workshop designed to leave you with pages of notes and no clear next step.
You will leave with:

  • The 7-Day Implementation Plan - ready to use with your team
  • Customer Psychology Frameworks - for reading cues, intent and hesitation
  • Styling Principles - practical methods your team can apply across categories
  • Customer Conversation Language - prompts and phrasing for more natural recommendations
  • 30 Days Online Access - to revisit the workshop resources

The intention is simple: what you learn on the day can be implemented immediately.

THE LUNCH-BREAK GUARANTEE

If by the lunch break you don't believe this is the missing layer under everything you've already trained, tell Lauren, leave, and we'll refund your seat.

OUR METHODOLOGY

Styling + human behaviour = results

YOUR FACILITATOR

Delivered by Lauren Di Bartolo, founder of Australian Style Institute.

Lauren Di Bartolo founded Australian Style Institute after years as a personal stylist working directly with clients, reading people and translating who they are into what they wear. She built it after watching too many stylists hand out verdicts without understanding the person in front of them, and the frameworks she wrote are now taught at every level of the profession.

With retail teams, she focuses on the final metre of the customer journey: the moments between the fitting room and the counter where conversion, average sale and return visits can be won or lost. She facilitates the day herself, using the same practical approach that shaped her client sessions, with a focus on specific, usable skills that can be applied immediately on the shop floor.

WHAT RETAIL PROFESSIONALS SAY

“The impact of the confidence, guidance, and skills to work in a client-facing role that ASI has equipped us with has been immeasurable."

Fiona Hestletine, Head of Retail

"I found new skills to help see what outfits they were searching for, and thought the fitting room language and modalities were most beneficial."

Rosalie, In-Store Stylist

"I feel that I have a better understanding of how my retail customer interactions could improve to make an incredibly positive experience for our customers. It was useful to gain perspective on my own biases and how I can overcome those to give clients exactly what they need. I can't wait to employ my new knowledge and to create an experience for them that they will want to return to time and time again."

Ellen, In-Store Stylist
